I hope your school year is off to a wonderful start. We have recently moved here to Dayton from a suburb of Cleveland called Rocky River joining your Horizon High School family. My 11th grader Cihan who was apprehensive to change schools and start all over, wakes with greater enthusiasm in just a week of school. He is a shy boy and a bit of an introvert, but he gleams with anticipation. It brings me great joy to see the possibilities in his new found confidence and I believe the atmosphere that you create there is directly responsible. Greater academic success and the balance of respect and discipline your school strives for develops the whole child. I want to thank you for the investment that you are making in our young people. A job as a teacher is not one for wealth or prestige but it is the greatest field that shapes the hearts, minds and souls of the future. You are sculpting the leaders of tomorrow. It was expressed best by the writer Forest Witcraft that “A hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank…but the world may be a better place because I made a difference in the life of a child.” You all make many differences every day. We all see the world today in different hues of colors through different eyes, cultures, and adversities, but one thing is for certain and remains the same for most if not for all, the intent to succeed. This is what Horizon Science Academy acknowledges with all the students. Because my child attends Horizon, I feel he has a great opportunity to further his education at a four year University.

I am very satisfied with the performance of school. Horizon helped us a lot on the process of transition to start living in the US. Teachers are very friendly. We are lucky because Horizon exist.

We have two children going to Horizon. They are happy to be there. We are very happy to see that our children’s educational needs are met. I believe that my children will go to college if they go to Horizon.

My three children go to Horizon Dayton Elementary and High School. The administration and teachers are always available when I want to talk to someone. I have moved to America 4 years ago, and school personnel not only taught my children they also guided me with my official documents as well. Thank you for being there when we needed help.
