Ohio Means Jobs

Dear Parents and Students,

As 2017 has come to a close and a new year just started, I would like to update you about a few education-related tools that will benefit students in the long term.

High School years are different than middle school years. What the students are doing in high school are accumulating on their behalves and will be used by them for their post-secondary choices. As HSA Guidance Office, we would like to assist our students to have a successful high school experience.

A major milestone of a successful high school experience is to graduate and utilize one of the post-secondary options:

Career and technical education (CTE)

Bachelor’s Degree

2 year  Associate Degree

1 year technical certificate

Military Service

Trade and Career Schools

Formal Apprenticeship

We are pleased to announce that there is a very useful website that will provide you information regarding online education and career planning tools. “Ohio Means Jobs K-12 Student” is a great tool to explore your career interests, take career surveys, see your career profile, view occupations, see estimated annual salary for those occupations, search and apply for scholarships and many more.. There’s also an online training center that will help you prepare for college, military and career tests. You can take tests and save your results.
