SGT Troy Elrich with the Ohio Army National Guard came to speak the morning of September 11th in remembrance of the events that occurred on September 11th, 2001. We were all privileged to hear SGT Elrich speak as his recounting of the events was both accurate and eloquent. After his account he said, “I would like us all to take a moment of silence to reflect on these events that took place 13 years ago, and remember all of those who lost their lives and those who lost their loved ones. We also reflect on those brave firefighters, police officers, EMT’s, construction workers, and search and rescue teams for their heroic actions the day of the attacks and the weeks and months following. Let us bow our heads for a moment of silence for those brave men and women and those who lost their lives during this tragic day. Please bow.” He then led us for the Pledge of Allegiance. Our gratitude goes out to SGT Troy Elrich for his visit and his commemorative words and his service with the Ohio Army National Guard.
